Nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions, Enyimba have announced goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke will depart the club at the end of the season.
Olorunleke has already penned a two-year contract with Sudanese club, Al Merreikh.
The 28-year-old will play his last game for Enyimba against Plateau United on Sunday.
“Enyimba Football Club can announce that goalkeeper and captain, Olorunleke Ojo, will depart the club at the end of the season,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.
“Over the past three years, Ojo has been an integral part of our team, contributing significantly to our growth and success. His dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on our club, and we are forever grateful. Last season, he played a crucial role in helping us win the prestigious Nigeria Professional Football League title, a moment that will be etched in our history forever.
“Ojo’s final game for Enyimba will be on Sunday against Plateau United, and we urge all our fans to come out and show their appreciation for his contributions to our great club.
“For three seasons, Ojo dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence, and will always be a part of the Enyimba family.”
The shot stopper was part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
