Zamfara PDP Denies Sponsoring Attack on APC

0

The Zamfara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed allegations that it sponsored thugs to attack members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday, February 15, 2025.

Responding to the claim, PDP Publicity Secretary Haliru Andi challenged the APC to provide concrete evidence linking the ruling party to the attack. He urged the opposition to reveal the names of the alleged sponsors and prove that the perpetrators were PDP members.

Andi cautioned the public against accepting unverified claims, stating that only a competent court of law could establish the truth. He also accused APC lawmaker Abdulmalik Zubairu of organizing an “illegal assembly” in Bungudu town, warning that any breach of law and order resulting from the gathering would be his responsibility.

The PDP reassured Zamfara residents of its commitment to maintaining peace and working with security agencies to uphold law and order. It also reminded the APC that the 2027 campaign season had not yet begun and urged the party to allow residents to go about their daily lives without political tension.
