Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election “Inevitable,” Says Arewa Summit Leader

Abuja, Nigeria – The Pioneer Leader of Arewa Summit International, Dr. Bashir Lamido, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 is a certainty, citing the unwavering support of influential political figures.

Speaking on Wednesday at the Abuja Expo and Ruhe Global Resources International Education Fair, Lamido asserted that Tinubu’s strategic alliances have already secured his political future, making an opposition victory highly unlikely.

“The caliber of political heavyweights backing President Tinubu makes it practically impossible for him to lose in 2027,” Lamido stated.

He identified key allies such as former Zamfara State Governor Abdul’aziz Yari, former Abia State Governor Orji Uzor Kalu, APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, and former Delta State Governor James Ibori as instrumental in solidifying Tinubu’s dominance.

Dismissing speculations of internal rifts, Lamido emphasized that despite earlier rumors of division, these political figures remain firmly aligned with the president.

“People thought Yari, Kalu, and Ibori might join the opposition. Some even claimed Nasir El-Rufai was working against Tinubu’s relationship with Ganduje. But today, all these men are united behind the president. With such formidable backing, his victory is assured,” he noted.

Lamido also dismissed the opposition’s ability to mount a credible challenge, citing deep divisions within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP).

“When you talk about the opposition taking power, the real question is—can they even unite? PDP and LP are fractured. Who will lead their ticket? Atiku Abubakar or Peter Obi? Nasir El-Rufai or Yemi Osinbajo? Rotimi Amaechi or Bukola Saraki? Their competing ambitions make unity impossible,” he argued.

He further highlighted that while the opposition remains undecided, Tinubu’s camp is already consolidating power.

“The president’s allies are working tirelessly. Yari is spearheading large-scale empowerment programs in the North, while Kalu is strengthening his influence across the South and beyond. These leaders meet with Tinubu regularly, ensuring a well-structured plan for victory,” he stated.

With preparations in full swing, Lamido affirmed that Tinubu’s path to re-election is not just probable but inevitable.
