The member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Amobi Ogah, has dismissed his reported suspension by the Julius Abure-led faction of the Labour Party, describing it as a baseless distraction that holds no weight.

Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Abuja, Ogah stated emphatically that his loyalty to Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, remains firm and unshaken.

“The suspension is a joke taken too far and a distraction sponsored by elements threatened by the new face of leadership in Abia State,” Ogah said. “I want to make it clear; the so-called suspension means absolutely nothing to me.”

Ogah is among several Labour Party lawmakers recently suspended by the factional leadership of the party, including Governor Alex Otti. Despite the move, the federal lawmaker said he remains focused on his legislative responsibilities and committed to the transformative leadership in Abia.

“I have the mandate of the people, and my commitment to Gov. Otti and his transformational agenda in Abia remains unshakable,” he added.

Reaffirming his confidence in the governor’s leadership, Ogah described Otti as “the best thing that has happened to our state in decades.”

“No one can bully us out of this progressive movement. No amount of intimidation can stop the will of the people,” he stressed.

The lawmaker urged his constituents to remain calm and assured them of his continued dedication to delivering quality representation and championing the development of Isuikwuato and Umunneochi.
