No fewer than 60 support groups under the umbrella of All Soludo Support Groups have declared their unwavering support for the re-election bid of Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo.

The endorsement came during a grand solidarity rally held at the International Convention Centre in Awka on Thursday, where the groups, comprising over 120,000 members, also presented a N30 million donation to support the governor’s second-term campaign.

Coordinator of the group, Chinedu Nwoye, alongside other conveners, expressed satisfaction with the governor’s performance in his first term, noting that the overwhelming support for his administration was well deserved.

“We are proud of the transformational strides of Governor Soludo. We made the right choice in 2021 and we are standing by him as he seeks a second term,” Nwoye stated.

In his response, Governor Soludo thanked the groups for their continued support and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality governance to the people of Anambra State.

“I am deeply humbled by this show of love. Never in the history of our state has a governor received this level of consensus across civil societies, community leaders, party stakeholders, youths, and students,” Soludo said.

He added that the positive feedback from the 21 local government areas of the state was a reflection of the impact of his administration’s reforms in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and public service.

“Good governance translates into political capital. Many who had planned to run against us are now stepping back. Even in the APC and Labour Party, those who pretend to be contesting are actually working for us. The people have seen our work and are choosing continuity,” he added.

Governor Soludo highlighted ongoing projects across the state, including the construction of three new cities aimed at transforming Anambra into a top-tier destination. He also emphasized achievements in recruitment of qualified teachers from 18 states and the implementation of free healthcare services that now attract patients from neighboring states.

He reiterated that his administration prioritizes transparency, inclusivity, and development over politics as usual.

“Our mission is simple—one state, one people, one agenda. Everything given to us will be accounted for with visible results. Even during the campaign period, we will remain focused on commissioning projects and working for Ndi Anambra.”

Governor Soludo also disclosed that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) will hold its primary election on Saturday, with full confidence in his candidacy ahead of the official campaign kickoff on June 11.
