Member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Ecological Funds, Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, has strongly refuted allegations of anti-party activities leveled against him by a group identified as the Committee of Concerned Elders for Peace under the All Progressives Congress (APC) North-West.
Reacting through his media aide, Mohammed Umar, Rep. Jaji described the accusations as “highly mischievous” and reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the APC. He also emphasized his deep respect for Senator Abdulaziz Yari, stating, “I can never disrespect Senator Abdulaziz Yari. He is my boss. I served under him, and I hold him in the highest esteem. There is no circumstance under which I would seek to undermine him.”
In a statement released on his behalf, Jaji dismissed the allegations as a politically motivated fabrication, aimed at tarnishing his reputation. The lawmaker asserted that his commitment to the APC remains steadfast, adding that his relationship with Senator Yari has endured for many years and cannot be shaken by baseless accusations.
“The attention of Rt. Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji, Member representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency of Zamfara, has been drawn to a fabricated story accusing him of anti-party activities. This baseless claim was made by a so-called Committee of Concerned Elders for Peace under the APC North-West,” the statement read.
He further stated that those behind the allegations are politically irrelevant figures seeking to damage his reputation due to his rising influence in Zamfara politics.
Challenging the credibility of his accusers, Jaji called on them to step forward and publicly identify themselves instead of operating behind a faceless group. He went on to allege that the mastermind of the false narrative is a former PDP member known for criticizing the APC-led government, including accusing it of sponsoring insecurity in Zamfara.
Jaji also accused the same individual of diverting 20 trucks of rice allocated to the state by the Federal Government, urging the public to see through the deceitful agenda.
As a former Director General of Contact and Mobilization for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (North-West), Jaji reiterated his loyalty to the APC, pledging to continue working for the party’s growth and success both in Zamfara and across Nigeria.
“We urge those behind these false claims to stop using Senator Yari’s name for their selfish agenda and allow him to focus on delivering the dividends of democracy to Zamfara State,” the statement concluded.
