In a statement released on Sunday by its Publicity Secretary, Tunde Oladunjoye, the party described Oyagbola as a trailblazer in public service, education, and diplomacy. It praised her for her outstanding contributions to national development, particularly in economic planning, during her tenure as Minister of National Planning from 1979 to 1983.

“Ogun State has, no doubt, lost one of her revered icons, who served the nation with selfless passion and whose achievements are not only exemplary but also inspirational,” the statement read.

The party acknowledged Oyagbola’s pivotal role in advancing women’s empowerment and her dedication to public service. It expressed gratitude that she lived a life of impact and prayed for her eternal rest.

Oyagbola’s legacy as a distinguished stateswoman remains indelible in Nigeria’s history.
