Kwankwaso Slams ACF, Declares Tinubu Unstoppable in 2027

The Director of Finance at Hadejia Jama’are River Basin, Alhaji Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, has criticized the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), asserting that the northern socio-political group lacks the influence to prevent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s anticipated landslide victory in the North come 2027.

Kwankwaso, a staunch supporter of APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, backed Ganduje’s stance that the North should wait until 2031 to reclaim presidential power. He dismissed the ACF’s relevance, stating, “Most of you in this forum held power for decades, yet did little for the North besides serving personal interests.”

Taking aim at prominent ACF members, Kwankwaso singled out Solomon Dalung, former Minister of Youth and Sports, for his criticism of Tinubu’s administration, questioning Dalung’s silence on governance failures during the Buhari era despite previously being vocal.

Kwankwaso further accused notable northern figures like Najaatu Muhammad and Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of lacking tangible contributions to the region, challenging their credibility in representing northern interests.

He praised Tinubu’s early achievements in the North, highlighting key initiatives such as the establishment of the Northwest Commission, championed by Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, with over N600 billion allocated for regional development. He also referenced the recent approval of N150 billion for Kano City’s Metro Rail project, facilitated by House Appropriations Committee Chairman Abubakar Kabir Bichi, as evidence of Tinubu’s commitment to northern development.

“The North is now a massive project site, thanks to President Tinubu’s support. His re-election in 2027 is inevitable,” Kwankwaso declared.

He commended Ganduje’s leadership, attributing the APC’s recent electoral successes and the defection of numerous politicians from rival parties to Ganduje’s effective stewardship. He noted that Kano’s political landscape has been significantly altered by Senator Barau Jibrin, whose influence has drawn former commissioners and top NNPP members to the APC.

Kwankwaso concluded by asserting that Tinubu’s growing support base has unsettled the Kwankwasiyya movement, leaving them politically vulnerable ahead of the 2027 elections.
