It’s my turn to be Senate President – Orji Kalu
Igbere, Abia State – Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North Senatorial District, has declared unwavering loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that he is prepared to lay down his life to ensure the party’s victory in the 2027 general elections.

The former governor made the bold statement while speaking to journalists at his country home in Igbere, Abia State, on Thursday. Kalu emphasized that the APC remains strong in the region and reaffirmed his determination to help deliver the state to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling party.

“APC is strong in Abia. Like I said in my interview, I am ready to lay down my life for the party,” Kalu declared. “I am a member of the party and a strong one at that. I am APC to the core. That’s why APC is strong in Abia North.”

He expressed optimism about the APC’s chances in the state, noting that the party had previously secured victory and would replicate the feat in 2027.

“Our party will work hard to deliver the President in the state. We have done it in the past, and we will do it again in 2027,” he stated.

Kalu also spoke on the state of the nation’s economy, expressing confidence in President Tinubu’s efforts to revive the economy and stabilize the naira.

“The economy needs time to bounce back,” he said. “The President is working to ensure that the economy bounces back, and I believe he will succeed.”

The senator’s remarks underscore growing internal mobilization within the APC ahead of the 2027 elections, as party leaders rally support for President Tinubu’s administration and its policy direction.
