Emefiele who is part of those that have purchased the APC presidential form had headed to the court in Abuja to seek a constitutional interpretation on his non-resignation while pursuing his political interests.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reacting to Emefiele’s political ambition stated that should the CBN governor run for president without resigning, the body might be forced to find alternatives for storage of its critical election materials which has always been kept with the apex banks.
The special presidential primary elections of the party holds between May 30 to June 1, 2022 in Abuja.
