Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, has confidently declared that he will emerge victorious in his ongoing political battle with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike. Speaking at the Christmas Ballad event hosted by former Governor Peter Odili in Port Harcourt, Fubara emphasized the overwhelming support he has received from the people of Rivers State, which he believes will be pivotal in his success.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, the governor shared his conviction that his strength in this political contest is drawn from the people of the state, who have continually shown their encouragement and commitment. Fubara acknowledged the efforts of Rivers citizens, stating that they have worked tirelessly on his behalf, making calls and rallying behind him.

“My strength is not of my own; it comes from every one of you who is here. You have given me encouragement, you’ve done the work for me, and you’ve made the calls for me. So, why wouldn’t I stand up for you?” Fubara said.

The governor also attributed his confidence to his faith in God, asserting that the ultimate “game changer” and “fighter” in the political struggle is the divine support he believes he has. “We also believe strongly that the ultimate game changer, the ultimate liberator, and the ultimate fighter still remains God Almighty. And because we have Him on our side, victory is assured,” he concluded.

Fubara’s remarks reinforce his firm belief that with the backing of Rivers people and divine intervention, his political journey will end in success.
