On Thursday afternoon, the former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, paid a visit to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, at his Abuja residence.
Bello was accompanied by Ahmed Usman Ododo, his successor and the current Governor of Kogi State.
The visit, which was confirmed through a statement from the minister’s spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, was shared on X (formerly Twitter).
While the official purpose of the visit has not been disclosed, there is growing speculation that the meeting may have been aimed at fostering new alliances with prominent members of President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.
Related developments in Kogi State include Governor Ododo signing a law to establish a teaching hospital, alongside recent government initiatives such as the donation of vehicles to security agencies and assurances from Ododo’s wife regarding his commitment to Kogi residents.
