Cleric Predicts Kwankwaso Will Succeed Tinubu as Nigeria’s President in 2031

A cleric based in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Francis Udo, has claimed that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano State, will emerge as Nigeria’s president after the completion of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term in 2031.

Pastor Udo, who made the declaration during a church service in Uyo, said the revelation came to him through a divine vision. According to him, the vision indicated that political power would return to Northern Nigeria following Tinubu’s administration, with Kwankwaso divinely ordained to take over the nation’s leadership.

“In the vision God showed me, Senator Kwankwaso is positioned to succeed Tinubu. Senator Godswill Akpabio will be his Vice Presidential running mate,” Udo said.

The cleric further claimed that before ascending to the presidency, Kwankwaso would join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), serve as Vice President under Tinubu, and then emerge as the party’s presidential candidate.

While the prophecy has drawn attention, neither Senator Kwankwaso nor Senator Akpabio has responded to the claims. Kwankwaso, currently a leading figure in the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has remained active on the national political scene following the 2023 general elections, where he emerged as a major third-force candidate.

The revelation adds to ongoing speculations about political realignments ahead of the 2027 and 2031 elections.
