A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has labeled Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, a “congenital liar” following his recent defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking during an interview with Jimi Disu on Nigeria Info FM on Tuesday, George criticized Jandor’s political maneuvers, stating that his actions taught the PDP a valuable lesson.
Adediran, who joined the PDP from the APC ahead of the 2023 Lagos governorship election, secured the party’s ticket but recently announced his return to the APC just days after meeting President Bola Tinubu in Abuja.
George accused Jandor of reneging on an earlier agreement to select Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour as his running mate, despite assurances.
“We stumbled into him through an older, respectable leader who introduced him. It was unusual because Gbadebo was at the forefront for the PDP ticket,” George said.
The elder statesman added that out of respect for the elder who vouched for Jandor, the party had to make a decision. However, he now views Jandor’s actions as deceptive.
