APC Debunks Viral Report on Automatic Tickets for Lawmakers, Labels It Fake News

0

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied widespread reports claiming that it has granted automatic tickets to all its current National Assembly members ahead of the next election cycle.

In a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, categorically dismissed the claim, describing it as fake news aimed at misleading the public.

“The attention of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has been drawn to a purported breaking news report tagged: ‘APC Grants Automatic Tickets to All National Assembly Members’ in viral circulation,” the statement read.

“The report is FAKE NEWS and should be disregarded in its entirety as it did not emanate from our great party,” Morka added.

He urged party members and the general public to ignore the publication, noting that it is of “mischievous origin” and has no bearing on the party’s official position.

The APC emphasized its commitment to a transparent and credible internal democratic process in the selection of its candidates.
