The Abia State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled Senator Adolphus Wabara, Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), over alleged anti-party activities.
Abia PDP Chairman, Abraham Amah, announced the expulsion on Tuesday in Umuahia, following the adoption of a disciplinary committee’s report that investigated Wabara’s conduct.
According to Amah, the committee reviewed Wabara’s earlier suspension and found grounds for expulsion, citing his endorsement of Abia State Governor Alex Otti for a second term—an act the party deemed disloyal.
The PDP has called on its national leadership to appoint a new BoT Chairman in Wabara’s place.
As of the time of this report, neither Senator Wabara nor his supporters have issued any official response to the development.
