The Youth O’clock Advancement Association, a prominent youth leadership and development organization in Nasarawa State, has called on Governor Abdullahi Sule to appoint qualified and innovative young leaders as commissioners in his upcoming cabinet. This appeal follows the recent dissolution of the governor’s cabinet, including the Secretary to the State Government, and the planned reconstitution of a new team aimed at enhancing efficiency and performance.
Addressing the press in Lafia on Monday, Usman Adamu Galadima, the association’s state coordinator, emphasized the critical role of youth in governance and national development. He argued that the inclusion of young, competent leaders in the executive council would drive better governance and foster sustainable growth.
“Youths are significant pillars of development and their involvement in governance is crucial for the state’s progress,” Galadima stated. “Youth O’clock Nigeria advocates for the appointment of reputable, capable, and innovative young individuals in the forthcoming Executive Council to ensure inclusivity, productivity, and equity within the administration.”
Galadima further stressed that the selection of cabinet members should prioritize qualities such as competence, experience, exposure, commitment, and integrity to ensure effective and efficient governance. He noted that this initiative would help nurture a new generation of leaders equipped to take on greater responsibilities and lead the state towards a prosperous future.
