Former U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed details of his recent phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, describing it as “very good and productive.”

In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that both leaders had agreed to an “immediate ceasefire on all energy and infrastructure” and expressed commitment to working towards a complete cessation of hostilities in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.

“This war would never have started if I were President!” Trump asserted, emphasizing that discussions included a potential “Contract for Peace.” He noted that both Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy were eager to see an end to the conflict, given the heavy toll on soldiers and civilians alike.

According to Trump, the negotiation process is now “in full force and effect,” adding, “We will, hopefully, for the sake of humanity, get the job done!”
