Women of Glory Conference – Empowering the Futuristic Woman

0

The much-anticipated Women of Glory Conference, taking place on October 12th, 2024, at 35 Ileja Road, Bariga, Lagos, is more than just an event—it is a mission to empower women holistically. The visionary behind this transformative movement is Pastor Iphy Okonkwo, a seasoned pastor, educator, and management consultant. Pastor Iphy founded the Women of Glory (WOG) with a deeply personal purpose: to disciple women, nurture their leadership potential, and equip them with the skills to birth destinies and impact their communities.

As a woman who has juggled multiple roles throughout her life—from her career as a human resource manager, teacher, and business consultant to her duties as a mother and grandmother—Pastor Iphy understands firsthand challenges the women face. She realized early on that many women were struggling to find their place in leadership and purpose, both at the homefront and in the larger society. This led her to start the Women of Glory, an initiative driven by her passion for discipling women for Christ, fostering leadership, and *community development through a holistic approach.

“The heart of WOG is to see women become the future leaders God has destined them to be,” Pastor Iphy explains. “We are committed to equipping women not only spiritually, but also with practical skills that will help them thrive in leadership, home building, and their careers.”*Through WOG, Pastor Iphy seeks to provide an environment where women can grow into their potential, become mentors to others, and contribute to society’s growth by building strong homes and communities.

The Women of Glory Conference is the pinnacle of this vision. The annual event offers *ltraining sessions in skills management, leadership development, and capacity building, helping women to take charge of their destinies. This year’s theme, *”Believe, Build, Bloom”, aligns perfectly with Pastor Iphy’s belief that every woman has the potential to lead, grow, and nurture the next generation. The conference will feature esteemed speakers such as Dr. Nkechi Ali Balogun* and Princess Oyeyinka Mensah*, who will share insights on personal development, health, and leadership.

In addition WOG is proud to have other Pioneers Members like Pastor Sandra Momah, Mrs. Ngozi Udechukwu, Dr Nkechi Ali Balogun, Bishop Omooba Adebowale and Deputy Archbishop Eme Udom all partners in shaping the vision and mission of Women of Glory. Their commitment and contributions to the growth of the movement have played vital roles in making this conference possible.

“This initiative came alive due to discovery of the gaps in leadership opportunities for women,”says Pastor Iphy. “It is not just about skill-building; it is about nurturing the entire woman—spirit, soul, and body. I want to see every woman at WOG empowered to take on leadership in her home, workplace, and community.”

Pastor Iphy’s long-term vision is to see WOG become a movement that holistically grooms the futuristic woman, creating a ripple effect where equipped women go on to mentor others, build strong families, and lead impactful community development projects. She is dedicated to engaging women to take on leadership roles, birthing destinies, and nurturing purpose in every sphere of life.
By fostering a culture of continuous learning and mentorship, Pastor Iphy, along with her fellow pioneers, aims to make Women of Glory an ongoing platform for women to discover, grow, and bloom* into the leaders they are meant to be. As they continue to lead this movement, they hope to reach women across Nigeria, transforming lives that is- one conference: one skill: one woman at a time.
