Shehu Sani, former senator from Kaduna Central, has expressed a belief that only divine intervention can bring an end to the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State.
In a statement posted on his social media page, Sani remarked, “Rivers State has been entrusted to the hands of God to resolve its challenges.”
The state has been embroiled in political unrest since the assumption of office by Governor Sim Fubara. The conflict primarily revolves around political control between Fubara and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.
As a consequence of this power struggle, Victor Oko-Jumbo and Martin Amaewhule have emerged as parallel speakers, further complicating the political landscape.
Previous attempts at mediation, including efforts by President Bola Tinubu, have not yielded the desired results.
