The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, alongside his two sons, paid a Christmas homage to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos on Thursday.
This was disclosed by Wike’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, in a statement shared via his X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday morning.
The visit comes shortly after President Tinubu lauded Wike as one of the most effective members of his cabinet. Tinubu made the commendation during his first presidential media chat in Lagos, describing the former Rivers State governor as a “good man.” This statement was made in response to allegations of land acquisition controversies in the Federal Capital Territory.
The Christmas homage underscores the cordial relationship between the President and the FCT Minister, with Wike’s family accompanying him to celebrate the season with Nigeria’s leader.
Further details of the discussions during the visit were not disclosed.
