Users of X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, are facing a major service outage, rendering both the website and mobile app inaccessible.
The disruption began around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, affecting users globally. According to outage-tracking site DownDetector.co.uk, reported issues surged from 66 to over 11,000 within minutes, reaching a peak at 1:39 p.m.
This marks the second significant outage in just three days. On Thursday evening, May 22, millions of users experienced a widespread disruption that affected critical features such as direct messaging, login access, and platform navigation on both desktop and mobile devices.
The recurring service issues raise growing concerns about platform stability under Elon Musk’s ownership, as users increasingly voice frustration over reliability.
