We’ll Triple Tinubu’s Votes in 2027 – Kebbi Governor Vows Unshakable Support

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has pledged unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election, vowing that the state will deliver three times more votes than it did in 2023.

The governor made the declaration on Thursday during the celebration of his administration’s second anniversary, held at the Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi. The event was attended by political stakeholders, supporters, and dignitaries from across the state.

Governor Idris hailed the Tinubu-led federal government for what he described as a historic turnaround in federal presence within Kebbi, especially in the area of infrastructure and development.

“With the emergence of the Tinubu administration, Kebbi is now witnessing a series of developmental projects,” Idris said.

“Before now, there was little or no federal intervention in our state. Today, that has changed significantly.”

He further stated that the people of Kebbi have every reason to back President Tinubu’s re-election, given the ongoing progress under his leadership.

“We will triple the votes President Tinubu got in 2023 come 2027,” the governor declared to thunderous applause from the stadium crowd.

Governor Idris also highlighted the unity within the state’s political structure, noting that Kebbi remains a stronghold of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“You hardly see a state where four former and serving governors come under one roof. This clearly shows Kebbi is an APC stronghold,” he added.

The statement is seen as a strong political signal as the APC begins to consolidate its base in the North-West region in preparation for the 2027 polls.
