The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
In a statement shared on Monday, August 4, via its official X handle (formerly Twitter), the examination body confirmed that all candidates who sat for the May/June WASSCE can now access their results online.
How to Check the 2025 WASSCE Results Online
Candidates are advised to visit the official WAEC result portal at www.waecdirect.org and ensure they have their result-checking e-PIN voucher and examination number readily available. To check their results:
- Enter your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number
(7-digit centre number + 3-digit candidate number, e.g., 4123456789)
For exams before 1999, enter your 8-digit number (5-digit centre + 3-digit candidate number) - Input your 4-digit Examination Year (e.g., 2025)
- Select the appropriate Examination Type (e.g., School Candidate)
- Enter your e-PIN Voucher Number
- Input the Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your e-PIN
- Click on “Submit” to view your result
SMS Option Also Available
WAEC has also provided an SMS-based option for candidates who prefer to receive their results via text. To use this service, send an SMS in the following format:
WAEC*ExamNumber*PIN*ExamYear
Send to 32327 (available on MTN, Airtel, and Glo networks).
For example: WAEC*4250101001*123456789012*2025
(Note: There should be no spaces in the message. SMS costs N30.)
Candidates are encouraged to adhere strictly to the format to avoid errors or failed delivery.
