Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived at Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madina, Saudi Arabia, to perform Umrah, the lesser hajj. On arrival, he was warmly received by the Deputy Governor of Madina Region, Abdulmohsen Bin Nayef Bin Hamed, and Nigerian diplomatic officials, including Ambassador Mu’azzam Nayaya.
During his stay in Medina, Shettima will visit the Holy Mosque of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and other sacred sites. He will then travel to Mecca to complete his Umrah rites.
On December 20, the Vice President is scheduled to meet with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Jeddah to discuss co-financing options for the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ Phase II) and strengthen coordination for IsDB projects supporting Nigeria’s agricultural and economic growth.
