0

The United States has unveiled its 2025 Visa Waiver Program (VWP) list, introducing Romania as the latest addition while excluding the United Kingdom and all African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa.

Announced on Monday, the updated list features 40 countries whose citizens can travel to the US for tourism or business for up to 90 days without a visa, provided they have valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval.

While the UK remains excluded from the main list, it still qualifies under specific conditions. The US Bureau of Consular Affairs emphasized that travelers who prefer a visa can still apply for a visitor visa.

The latest VWP update reflects the US government’s focus on strengthening security checks and prioritizing nations with strong diplomatic ties and robust border security standards.

The inclusion of Romania marks a significant development, expanding visa-free access and simplifying travel for millions worldwide.
