Former U.S. President Donald Trump has launched a scathing attack on his successor, Joe Biden, accusing him of opening America’s borders to criminals and undermining national security.
In a post shared on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday, Trump claimed that President Biden allowed “millions” of criminals, including murderers and drug dealers, to flood into the United States during his time in office. He branded Biden as “the worst president in the history of the United States.”
“Sleepy Joe Biden, THE WORST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES, has allowed millions and millions of criminals, many of them murderers, drug dealers, and people released from prisons and mental institutions from all around the world, to enter our country through its very dangerous and ill-conceived open border,” Trump wrote.
He added: “Sorry, but it’s my job to get these killers and thugs out of here. THAT’S WHAT I GOT ELECTED TO DO. MAGA!”
Trump’s remarks come just hours after President Biden criticized the former administration during a speech at a conference of disability advocates in Chicago. In his first major public address since leaving the White House, Biden condemned the direction of Trump’s second term.
“In fewer than 100 days, this administration has done so much damage and so much destruction—it’s kind of breathtaking it could happen that soon,” Biden said. He also accused the Trump administration of gutting the Social Security Administration, claiming it forced 7,000 employees out of their jobs.
With the 2024 election aftermath still fresh and both leaders trading barbs, the political rivalry between Trump and Biden appears far from over.
