Former President Donald Trump and several of his associates have been indicted by a grand jury in Georgia on criminal charges stemming from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ lengthy investigation into their efforts to overturn the results of the state’s 2020 presidential election.
The grand jury returned ten indictments to Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney on Monday at 9 p.m. ET.
Earlier in the day, witnesses testified to the grand jury about Trump’s alleged attempts to reverse the election in that state.
It’s Trump’s fourth indictment in five months as the Republican frontrunner in 2024. He is the first former president to be charged with a crime.
