Former President Donald Trump has once again sparked controversy by suggesting he might pursue a third term in office, despite the constitutional two-term limit.

In a phone interview with NBC News on Sunday morning, Trump, 78, reiterated his intention, saying, “I’m not joking,” when pressed to clarify his remarks. He further hinted at possible legal strategies, stating, “There are methods which you could do it.”

The billionaire businessman and former president has a history of making similar statements, but his latest comments — made both during the phone interview and to reporters aboard Air Force One — were notably more concrete, hinting at potential plans to challenge the long-established constitutional restriction.

Trump’s remarks have once again stirred debate over the future of the presidency and the possibility of breaking the tradition of a two-term limit that has defined the office for more than 70 years.
