Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk will be excluded from space-related decision-making.
Speaking at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Trump responded to concerns about Musk’s business ties and his role in reducing government spending.
“So anything to do with possibly even space, we won’t let Elon partake in that,” Trump told reporters.
The White House clarified that while Musk serves as a senior adviser, he is not part of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and has no decision-making authority.
Trump added that Musk’s role could be classified as either an “employee” or a “consultant.”
