Tinubu’s Govt Is a “Disastrous Catastrophe” — Ex-Minister Compares Administration Unfavourably to Buhari’s

ABUJA — A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former Minister of Police Affairs, Adamu Maina Waziri, has slammed President Bola Tinubu’s administration, describing it as far worse than that of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking during an interview on Trust TV, Waziri held nothing back as he labelled Tinubu’s government a “disastrous catastrophe” that has failed in all critical areas of governance, including security, the economy, and the fight against corruption.

“If the Buhari government was a failure, the Tinubu government in the last two years is a disastrous catastrophe,” Waziri stated bluntly. “It has failed in all ramifications, and the country has regressed.”

The former minister expressed disbelief over public figures still expressing support for the current administration despite rising insecurity and hardship in the country.

“I am surprised that people whose local governments are under the control of bandits can appear on national television to endorse this government,” he added.

Waziri’s comments add to growing concerns from political voices and citizens alike, who have criticised Tinubu’s handling of Nigeria’s mounting economic and security challenges just over a year into his tenure.
