Tinubu’s Aide Bwala Slams Senator Ndume, Alleges Threats and Crisis-Driven Politics

Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy and Communications, has launched a blistering critique of Senator Ali Ndume, describing the lawmaker as behaving “like a baby and a toddler,” while accusing him of thriving on political crisis and orchestrating threats against critics.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Bwala responded to recent comments made by the Borno South Senator, who accused President Tinubu of lopsided appointments and alleged disregard for the federal character principle. Ndume had also expressed fears of retribution from Tinubu’s loyalists for his outspoken remarks.

In a fiery rebuttal, Bwala dismissed Ndume’s claims and took aim at his conduct and political style.

“I doubt if Tinubu is even aware of Ndume’s antics,” Bwala said. “He cries like a baby, a toddler. Every day, he’s either calling one presidential aide or another. Is that how an elder statesman should behave?”

Bwala further alleged that Ndume has a history of issuing threats against those who challenge him publicly. “The last time I called him out, I received death threats. That’s how he operates. He boasts, ‘I have boys, and I can do this or that’ — that’s his stock-in-trade.”

He described Ndume as a political figure who thrives in instability. “Ndume in a crisis economy is like Dangote or Otedola in the private sector — that’s when he flourishes. He prides himself on it.”

The presidential aide also made a controversial remark about the senator’s past, saying, “What is Ndume’s reputation globally? He’s someone alleged to have links with Boko Haram.”

The confrontation between the two political figures has further exposed growing tensions within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), especially over issues of inclusion, appointments, and internal party dynamics.
