Prominent Nigerians are expected to gather at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on April 8 to honour the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari.
The event is the public presentation of a book, “Aisha Buhari: Being different,” written in honour of the President’s wife.
The book was written by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Administration and Women Affairs, Dr Hajo Sani.
According to a copy of the invitation seen on Friday, the event is being organised by the Office of the First Lady of Nigeria in collaboration with Women and National Development.
Prominent Nigerians expected at the event scheduled to hold at the State House Conference Centre include the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who will chair the event; and Mrs Folorunsho Alakija who is the Special Guest of Honour.
Those listed as the book presenters are Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Mr Tony Elumelu, Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu, Prince Arthur Eze, Mrs Bola Shagaya, Mr Femi Otedola, Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi, Mr Jim Ovia, Chief Kessington Adebutu, Senator Daisy Danjuma and Captain Idahosa Okunbo.
The royal fathers of the day are the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; and the Egbere Emere Okori Eleme, King Appolus Chu.
Recall that Mrs Buhari returned to the country on March 17 after being away for about six months.
Outspoken Mrs Buhari had gone off the radar around September 2020 shortly after the wedding of her daughter, Hanan.
It had been reported that she relocated to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, citing security issues.
But shortly after, one of her aides, Kabiru Dodo, said Mrs Buhari was on a foreign medical trip.
No word was heard from her even when she turned 50 years old on February 18.
