The Glass House, a smaller building directly across from the White House, is the sole place the President currently resides after taking the oath of office on May 29.
Nelsdaily reports that President Tinubu relocated to the Glass House on Sunday night, where he will stay till the 32-year-old home is completely renovated.
The president has operated from his residence in Asokoro since his inauguration because the official villa has been undergoing renovations since April.
Before this week, Tinubu operated from his home in Asokoro, but he just moved when commuters complained about the daily traffic closures to make room for his convoy.
A video clip that went viral last week showed a protracted bottleneck and a background speaker bemoaning the daily lives of Asokoro commuters as they waited for the president to pass.
The house was being painted and some of its areas were being cleaned and fumigated, depending on the type of modifications that needed to be done.
The President will decide which new furniture sets will be included in the makeover, which mainly involved finishing, fittings, and changing some security apparatus.
