Tinubu – Let’s Unite and Build Nigeria Together

0

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Nigerians across ethnic lines to unite in the collective effort to rebuild the nation, urging a shift away from division, violence, and terror.

Speaking during a condolence visit to Makurdi, the Benue State capital, on Thursday, Tinubu emphasized the importance of national unity and peaceful coexistence in the face of growing security challenges.

“Whether you are Tiv, Idoma, Hausa, Yoruba, or Igbo, this country is our shared heritage. We must build it together,” the president said. “We must find solutions, not just talk about the problems. Let us stop seeing one another as enemies. We must stop opening doors to terror and violence. We must embrace peace with serious understanding.”

The visit follows the tragic killings in the Yelewata area and surrounding communities along the Benue-Nasarawa corridor, where over 200 people reportedly lost their lives in recent attacks.

Tinubu’s visit was part of a broader effort to condole with the victims’ families and reassure residents of the government’s commitment to ending insecurity in the region.

He called for renewed cooperation among ethnic groups and reiterated his administration’s resolve to promote unity and national healing.
