Governor Umo Eno Calls for National Support, Highlights Statewide Achievements

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has stated that President Bola Tinubu is not to blame for Nigeria’s current economic difficulties, urging Nigerians to rally behind the administration as it navigates through challenging times.

Speaking to State House correspondents after a meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, Eno described Tinubu’s first two years in office as “wonderful,” emphasizing the President’s commitment to tackling long-standing national issues.

“President Tinubu didn’t create the problem we are in right now. For me, I believe he is doing his best, and he should be supported to finish strong,” the governor said.

Eno also used the opportunity to reel out achievements from his own administration, highlighting key progress in education, healthcare, road infrastructure, and rural development across Akwa Ibom State.

He noted that while the first half of his tenure prioritized grassroots development, the next phase would focus on major infrastructure projects aimed at transforming the state into a thriving economic and tourism hub.
