Tinubu Hosts Wike, Fubara, Governors, and Top Officials at Presidential Iftar in Abuja

President Bola Tinubu hosted an exclusive Iftar dinner at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, bringing together key political figures, including the embattled Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, and his estranged political mentor, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

The gathering, held as part of the Ramadan tradition, saw the attendance of Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and several federal ministers.

Also in attendance were prominent state governors, including Alex Otti (Abia), Umo Eno (Akwa Ibom), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Babagana Zulum (Borno), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Monday Okpebholo (Edo), Muhammad Yahaya (Gombe), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), and Uba Sani (Kaduna).

Others present included Abba Kabir Yusuf (Kano), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Mohammed Bago (Niger), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Duoye Diri (Bayelsa), and Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi).

The Iftar dinner also brought together heads of key government agencies, such as Professor Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad, Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria; Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche, Acting Controller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service; Jaji Abdulganiyu, Comptroller General of the Federal Fire Service; and Bashir Adeniyi, Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service.

Industry leaders were also present, including Abba Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), and Farouk Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority.

The event underscored President Tinubu’s commitment to fostering unity and collaboration among Nigeria’s top political and economic stakeholders during the holy month of Ramadan.
