President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new members for the governing councils of three prominent federal universities: the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA), the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka.
The appointments were announced on Tuesday in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
This move follows the February dissolution of UNIABUJA’s governing council and the removal of the university’s vice chancellor, Prof. Aisha Maikudi, over eligibility concerns.
