Taraba Deputy Governor Alkali Returns to Jalingo After 8-Month Absence

JALINGO — The Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Aminu Alkali, has resurfaced in Jalingo after being away from public view for several months, fueling speculation about his health.

Alkali, who had been absent from office for about eight months, touched down at Yalo Airport on Monday before being driven in a convoy of four vehicles to his official residence at the Government House.

A short video of his arrival has since gone viral on social media, drawing mixed reactions from residents and political observers.

Though no official statement has been issued regarding the reason for his long absence, widespread rumours had suggested that the deputy governor was battling an undisclosed ailment.

His return is expected to spark fresh political conversations in the state, particularly within the corridors of power at the Taraba Government House.
