Strike: Abia, JUSUN reach agreement Abia courts resume as JUSUN calls off strike

Indication has emerged that the current industrial action by judiciary workers in Abia, will soon be called off following a truce reached between the State Government and the state branch of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, (JUSUN).

Both parties, yesterday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), to resolve their differences.

This followed the conclusion of negotiations between the Abia State Government and the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN.
According to a statement by the Commissioner for Information Prince Okey Kanu, JUSUN would convene a congress as soon as possible to officially call off the strike.

The statement further read:”Consequent upon the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between both parties, all differences in the implementation of the Consolidated Judicial Salary Structure, CONJUSS, have been resolved. Government announces that the agreed additional amount to be paid to JUSUN is being processed for remittance.
