Scott Iguma Alleges Police Bias, Accuses Force of Undermining Nigeria’s Justice System

Social media personality and activist, Scott Iguma, has accused the Nigeria Police Force of working against the country’s justice system, describing the institution as “disloyal to justice and loyal only to money.”

His comments come just three days after he was granted bail by a Lagos State High Court following his arrest and remand over a public allegation against real estate firm, PWAN, which he had accused of scamming customers.

Iguma, who was granted bail in the sum of ₦10 million on Monday, shared a video on Thursday thanking Nigerians for their support and detailing his experience with the police.

In the video, he said, “With my experience with the Nigeria Police, it’s quite so sad. They are not loyal to the country Nigeria, they are not loyal to the law of Nigeria, to justice. All they are loyal to is money.”

He further alleged that the police are being used as a tool to oppress citizens rather than protect them, claiming that officers can be easily bribed.

“The Nigerian police are so cheap that you can bribe them with a bottle of Coke, and they will help you convict an innocent man for murder,” he said.

Iguma’s arrest had sparked public outrage, with many civil rights groups condemning the clampdown on free speech and whistleblowing.

He urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and continue to stand up against what he described as systemic oppression within law enforcement.
