Satguru Maharaj Hails Tinubu’s Intervention in Wike-Fubara Rift

Founder of the One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has applauded President Bola Tinubu for his timely intervention in the political conflict between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara.

In a statement issued on Thursday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Maharaj Ji praised President Tinubu’s invocation of constitutional powers to de-escalate the growing tension in Rivers State, describing the move as a “perfect antidote” to the crisis.

Nelsdaily had reported that Fubara, his deputy Dr. Ngozi Odu, and members of the State House of Assembly were suspended on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, for six months following intense political unrest in the state.

Maharaj Ji, while commending the President, urged both Wike and Fubara to put aside their differences in the interest of peace, unity, and development — not just for Rivers State, but for Nigeria as a whole.

“The Wike vs Fubara conflict, like others before it, will end eventually — but the masses, already burdened by poverty, are the ones left to suffer the consequences,” he stated.

He acknowledged that political godfatherism and personal ambitions are not new in Nigerian or global politics, but emphasized that reconciliation must take precedence.

“President Tinubu’s intervention has helped reduce the political heat in Rivers, and for that, he deserves to be commended,” Maharaj Ji added.

He further noted that the true enemies of Nigeria are not individuals like Wike, Fubara, or Tinubu, but rather forces working against the nation’s peace and development.

“I call on both parties to commit themselves to peace and unity. Reconciliation is not just necessary — it is urgent, for the sake of the people and the nation,” he concluded.
