Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called on Christian leaders to continue praying for the nation’s leaders, especially President Bola Tinubu, to ensure the success of his reforms and Nigeria’s full recovery.
Sanwo-Olu made the appeal through the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mrs. Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin, during the 2025 Inter-Denominational Divine Service organized by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Lagos Chapter, held at The Apostolic Church Convention Grounds.
Themed “Total Restoration”—inspired by Joel 2:25—the event focused on God’s promise to restore all that has been lost. Mrs. Salu-Hundeyin highlighted the alignment between the theme and President Tinubu’s 2025 “Budget of Restoration”, expressing hope for national recovery.
“We must give eternal praise to God, our help in the past and our hope for the future. Please continue praying for the President so that his reforms will bring positive results, and we will soon witness complete restoration in our nation,” Sanwo-Olu urged.
The Lagos CAN Chairman, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, who convened the service, declared 2025 as the “Year of Total Restoration”, encouraging Nigerians to trust God amidst current economic and social challenges.
“Nigeria will be great again, and we shall all experience tremendous growth, unsolicited success, and uncommon miracles,” Adegbite affirmed, linking the biblical promise of restoration to the nation’s present struggles.
