Cristiano Ronaldo rolled back the years with a sensational hat-trick as Al Nassr cruised to a 4-0 victory over Portuguese side Rio Ave in a pre-season friendly on Thursday.
The match, played at the Estádio Algarve in Portugal, saw the 40-year-old captain deliver a masterclass in finishing, marking Al Nassr’s third straight win of their pre-season campaign.
Ronaldo, clearly delighted with his performance, took to Instagram after the game to send a powerful six-word message to his fans: “Keep pushing, there’s more to do.”
The former Real Madrid and Juventus star also shared photos from the match, signalling his hunger for more goals and victories ahead of the new season in the Saudi Pro League.
Al Nassr had already enjoyed back-to-back wins earlier in pre-season — a 5-2 triumph over SK St Johann and a 2-1 victory against French club Toulouse — and Ronaldo’s latest heroics have only heightened optimism for the campaign ahead.
