President Muhammadu Buhari has received reports from the Judicial Commission of Inquiry probing Ibrahim Magu, the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
This was revealed in a tweet by the Presidency on Friday, November 20, 2020.
The tweet by the Presidency reads, “NOW: President @MBuhari receiving the report of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry on the Investigation of Mr. Ibrahim Magu, the Acting Chairman”.
It could be recalled that Ibrahim Magu has been alleged to have been involved in corrupt practices and other misconduct during his time as EFCC Chairman. The allegations were raised by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
This led to the immediate suspension of Magu, and the establishment of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry, led by Justice Ayo Salami, and saddled with the responsibility of investigating the suspended EFCC boss, to find out if the allegations brought before are true.
