Vatican officials have confirmed that Pope Francis remains in a critical but stable condition as he continues to battle pneumonia.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Vatican reported that a CT scan had been conducted that day, with results showing no acute respiratory episodes. The 88-year-old Pontiff’s haemodynamic parameters also remain stable.
Earlier reports indicated a slight improvement in his health after he was hospitalized at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on February 14 due to breathing difficulties.
The Pope’s condition remains a major global concern, particularly among Catholics, as he continues to receive medical care.
