Over 100 gay suspects were apprehended while performing a gay wedding ceremony in a Delta State hotel. On Tuesday, the command revealed this in a message on its official X (previously Twitter) profile.

“Delta State Command has arrested over a hundred gay suspects in a hotel carrying out a gay wedding ceremony,” the tweet said. We will be going live on Facebook momentarily to parade the suspects.”

The command went live on Facebook a few minutes later to parade the suspects.

People suspected of being homosexuals have been arrested and displayed by security forces since the passage of the anti-gay law in 2014.

Anyone convicted of having intercourse with members of the same sex under the 2014 anti-gay law faces a 14-year prison sentence.
