PDP Sweeps Osun LG Polls, Wins All Seat

The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) has declared the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the winner of all chairmanship and councillorship positions in the recently concluded local government elections across the state.

OSSIEC Chairman, Hashim Abioye, made the announcement during a Facebook Live broadcast on Saturday evening, revealing that PDP candidates secured all 30 local government chairmanship seats and clinched all 332 councillorship positions.

Despite the sweeping victory, the election faced challenges. Abioye raised concerns over security personnel sealing off OSSIEC headquarters on election day, which hindered the distribution of some electoral materials to polling units.

The local government polls, which commenced on Saturday morning, proceeded amid these disruptions, ultimately resulting in a complete victory for the PDP.
