The Oyo State government has announced the opening of a job portal for the recruitment of public primary school teachers, set to commence at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

This development was disclosed by Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), during a press briefing at the Board’s headquarters in Ibadan.

Dr. Adeniran stated that the recruitment initiative is part of the state government’s effort to reduce unemployment. The portal will register candidates using their email, phone number, and National Identification Number, among other requirements. It will facilitate the employment of 7,000 teachers and 100 caregivers, with the application period running from June 25, 2024, to July 9, 2024.

Applicants must use unique email addresses for registration, and any issues encountered during the application process can be addressed through the provided support services. Dr. Adeniran emphasized that the recruitment process would be transparent, fair, credible, and merit-based.

The application process will include an online application, a Computer-Based Test (CBT) examination, and an oral interview. Applicants are advised to be cautious of scammers, as the official portal for applications is subeb.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng, and the process is entirely free.

Dr. Adeniran expressed gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde for his support and assured that the Board would uphold the integrity of the recruitment process.
