…Says Social Services Remain Uninterrupted Across the State

The Osun State Government has dismissed allegations of a breakdown in local government services, reaffirming that social services remain fully operational across all 30 local government areas and the Area Council.

In a statement issued on Monday, titled “Local Social Services and Governance Unimpeded Across Osun State,” the spokesperson to the governor, Olawale Rasheed, described the opposition’s claims as “fake news from merchants of falsehood.”

The statement emphasized that essential services in health, education, and social documentation continue seamlessly. It read:

“Amidst recent misinformation from the opposition, it is important to inform the public that social services in health, education, and social documentation are being rendered seamlessly across Osun State.”

Highlighting Governor Ademola Adeleke’s commitment to governance, the statement noted that schools and healthcare centers remain fully functional, with local patronage at an all-time high.

The government cited recent visits by the governor to various health facilities, where he witnessed two successful childbirths at Telemu and Ido-Osun, further debunking claims of service disruptions.

The statement also underscored the administration’s progress in digitizing public services, particularly the issuance of state-of-origin and local government identification certificates, which have been accessible online since 2023.

“As part of the government’s push to digitize services, thousands of applicants have accessed their state of origin and local government identification online in real-time from 2023 to date.”

Addressing the opposition’s assertions, the government questioned their credibility, pointing out that local government offices remained open even when opposition figures conducted their visits.

“If such local services are truly shut down, how come they were open and operating when those illegal impostors conducted their comedic visitations?” the statement queried.

Urging the public to disregard misinformation, the government reiterated Governor Adeleke’s dedication to transparent and efficient governance.

“As a pro-people leader, Governor Ademola Adeleke remains committed to delivering good governance and democratic dividends across Osun State, upholding the rule of law and the fear of God.”
